OIA ACHIVES GOTS ACCREDITATION

Organización Internacional Agropecuaria (OIA) has achieved Accreditation for GOTS Standards(Global Organic Textile Standards) issued by the IOAS (International Organic Accreditation Service).

From the need of consumers and the textile industry to have a law that gave strength to the Market Organic Textile GOTS arises development (Global Organic Textile Standards).

The purpose of these Standards is to establish for the world, the requirements to guarantee organic status of textiles, from raw materials through an environmentally and socially responsible system of primary production to garment labeling in order to provide credible assurance to the consumer.

ISO certification provides service to all stakeholders in the chain of value of the organic textile fiber (wool, cotton, linen, silk, etc.). For the following activities within the value chain:

- GOTS Standards Certification

- Certification of natural fiber (cotton, linen, wool, etc..) According to organic standards under Argentine Regulation, equivalent to EC Regulation 834/07 plus IFOAM standard (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movement) and the National Organic Program (NOP) for the U.S..

- Certification of the different stages of processing within the textile chain including spinning, dyeing, finishing and manufacture of ready to wear garments under the relevant rules.
